Muscat, Dec 27 (ONA) --- The main indices led Muscat Securities Market (MSM) index to lose more than 14 points or (0.25%) to close at 5663 points compared to 5677 points previously.
The major losers were the service sector as it declined by (0.58%) to close at 2539 points compared to 2554 points previously, followed by the industry sector by (0.24%) to close at 5887 points compared to 5901 points previously whereas the financial sector declined as well by (0.15%) to close at 6363 points compared to 6372 points previously.
The MSM daily bulletin pointed out that trading value today stood at RO. 3.53 million, a rise by (26.46%) compared to yesterday's session, which stood at RO. 2.79 million. The market value declined by (0.13%) to reach RO. 10.30 billion.
The value of shares brought by foreign investors reached RO. 99,97 comprising (2.83%). The value of shares sold by foreign investors reached RO. 421,78 comprising (40.25%). The total foreign investment declined by (37.42%) to RO. 321, 081.
Out of the 50 companies of which shares changed hands today, 11 companies rose, 18 companies declined and 21 companies stabilized.
